About Me

Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
-Mark Twain

Seeing the world has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl, but for years it felt like it would never come true. Too expensive. No clue where to start. No one to go with. The list goes on.

Fast forward to 2020. I saw so many lives changed in the blink of an eye, and for the first time in my life I truly understood that we aren’t promised tomorrow. I realized that if I died at that moment, I would die with a long bucket list of unfulfilled dreams. That hit me hard, and I decided to stop waiting around and do something about it. My husband and I planned a trip to Yellowstone, Glacier, and Grand Teton National Parks… and the rest is history. We got a taste of what the world outside of Alabama had to offer, and the travel bug bit us HARD. We quickly realized that experiencing new places brought us more joy than any material possession ever could. We started learning how to travel on a budget and changed our spending habits so we could travel more.  A few of our favorite travel memories include tackling our first Via Ferrata route and summiting Monte Paterno in Italy, rock climbing on the sea cliffs of Maine, paragliding over the Dolomites, e-biking through Zion National Park, and day-hiking to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back. Travel has truly enriched our lives and helped us grow. I am incredibly grateful for the memories we’ve made together, and I look forward to many more to come.

Life is short and there’s a big, beautiful world out there. I hope this blog inspires you to go out and explore it.
